You can choose to share your photo and poster automatically with all of your contacts, or you can have your iPhone get permission from you first. The Contact Poster and Contact Photo that you choose will be shared with others when you call or message them, but there are some settings you can use to restrict access. You can have multiple Contact Posters to swap between, and you can create a Contact Photo that's different from your Contact Poster. Just open Contacts, tap on "My Card" and then tap on "Edit" in the upper right corner to get to the editing interface.įrom there, you can choose a photo, select a color for the text, add a filter, and more. When you install iOS 17, you'll be prompted to make a Contact Poster, but you can tweak it at any time in the Contacts app. You can customize it with a photo, Memoji, Animoji, or an initial, and choose the colors and fonts that you prefer. In iOS 17, there's a customizable Contact Poster that people see when you call, FaceTime, or text them. On the Home Screen, long press, tap on the "+" button in the upper left corner, and select the widget that you want to add. Lock Screen widgets can be customized by long pressing on the Lock Screen, choosing a Lock Screen option, and then tapping "Customize." From there, select the Lock Screen and then tap into the widgets box to choose your widget options. You can do things like check off a reminder or activate a home device right from a widget without having to open an app.īoth Apple apps and third-party apps are able to use the new interactive functionality, so you might want to redo your widget setup now that certain widgets are more useful. Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets are interactive in iOS 17, which makes widgets much more useful. StandBy can be a little bit complicated when you're not familiar with it, so we recommend looking through our StandBy guide to see the full extent of what you can do with it. For example, you might prefer widgets when at the office, or the clock screen when the iPhone is on your nightstand. When you use StandBy with different MagSafe chargers in separate locations, you can customize your phone to remember which screen configuration you prefer based on location. StandBy can show you incoming notifications, Live Activities, and Siri queries full screen. Customizing is done by swapping over to the correct screen and long pressing on it to get to the customization options. You will want to customize your two widget stacks on the widget screen to make it more useful, and you can also customize how the time is displayed and the photos that you see. The first screen displays widgets (including interactive widgets), the second showcases photos from the Photos library, and the third is a large clock that shows the time. There are three total StandBy screens that you can access by swiping between them when your phone is in the appropriate StandBy position. StandBy is most useful on the iPhone 14 Pro models with always-on display, but it is available on all iPhones that run iOS 17. StandBy serves as a home hub to show glanceable information that makes your iPhone more useful when it's not being actively used. When you charge an iPhone running iOS 17 in an upright and horizontal orientation, it displays a new StandBy screen. Some of these options require some set up to get up and running, so we've written this guide that walks you through what you should do after installing iOS 17. Apple today released iOS 17 to the public, and there are hundreds of new features and changes for you to learn about. 2/28/2024 0 Comments Wv emt practice testOne will be the most correct, under the circumstances being described in the stem. That’s because there may be more than one right answer, depending on how you interpret the stem (that’s why they are called distractors). Notice that you are choosing the best answer, not the right one on an NREMT exam. Second, the difficulty of the question is really set in the quality of the choices. For example, an anxious patient with cool pale and diaphoretic skin may be hypotensive. You may need to infer certain pieces of information from what you read. First, the stem does contain all of the information you need to answer it correctly. There are several distinguishing traits that separate NREMT exam questions from the ones you may have seen in class. The remaining choices are called distractors. The first “question” part is called the stem. Like any other muscle, the brain can only absorb so much without having to take a break to process.Īny multiple choice exam item consists of the same parts. It’s probably better to study over four, two-hour sessions spread throughout the week, rather than trying to read nonstop for eight hours. Too much studying can be less than helpful. Reduce or eliminate distraction - those earbuds fill your brain with music, not knowledge (unless you’re listening to recorded lectures or the Inside EMS podcast, of course!) Habit 3: Give your brain a break. Prep your study materials so that you don’t waste time pulling everything together at the last minute. For example, schedule your Friday afternoons to be in the library from 1 to 5 p.m. Each week set aside specific times to spend reviewing your notes and the reading. While studying with friends and coworkers can be helpful, your brain does need some quiet time to process all of that information. There are truly no dumb questions except the ones you don’t ask and regret not doing so later. Ask about topics that are difficult for you. Review your in class exam results so you better understand why you chose the wrong answers. Pay attention to the topics your instructor presents - they are likely the more critical ones to master. If you know that the NREMT exam is waiting for you at the end of your class, keeping that in mind while you’re still in the class will help create a mindset that prepares you for first time success. Here are eight habits I have taught to and observed in hundreds of successful students who passed the NREMT cognitive exam on their first attempt. With planning and practice, the NREMT written test can be very straightforward. The fact is, like every other EMS exam, the NREMT cognitive exam is only challenging if you are not prepared to take it. Even the answers seem strange - often there is more than one “right” answer. The student can then contact the Testing Center and schedule to take the test, on Tuesday, if they contact the center on Monday or test on Wednesday, if they contact the center on Tuesday. Many EMS students believe that the National Registry of EMT cognitive exam is an extremely challenging test, filled with poorly worded questions that seem to be missing lots of information needed to answer it. The Testing Center is no longer able to give on-demand testing.Įxample: If a student misses a test on Monday, the instructor can complete the form immediately after class and give it to the testing center (If the instructor wants to have the student to test by Wednesday). The student will then have to schedule to take the exam and it must be 24 hours in advance. This form will need to be completed and returned to the Testing Center at least 48 hours before the student will be able to test in the center. The faculty member will complete an out of class exam instruction form for every test that they would like to have proctored for the testing center. However, there are policies and procedures that need to be followed to take a make-up exam in the Testing Center.įaculty members need to contact the Testing Center before a student can take a test. The Testing Center proctors make-up exams for when students miss a class. 2/28/2024 0 Comments Arduino delay secondsI intend doing around 20 custom timings throughout my whole sketch.įor example, how would I put say a 30 second countdown in the below to show on screen/represent the 30sec delay in the code. The user has no interaction, the timings would be preset. What I don't understand is how to print a live countdown to the LCD, then continue the rest of the function after that time. I have tried the countdown scripts and I think I understand them. Bestimmte Dinge laufen jedoch weiter, whrend die delay () -Funktion den Atmega-Chip steuert, da die delay () -Funktion Interrupts nicht deaktiviert. Also I want to implement in laser range finder so if someone knows the answer so please tell me. Actually I want to use it to calculate time in pure nanoseconds required for the execution of particular process or sketch. I've cracked relays, lcd's and using buttons throughout but this has me stumped. Erfahrene Programmierer vermeiden normalerweise die Verwendung von delay () fr das Timing von Ereignissen, die lnger als 10 Millisekunden sind, es sei denn, der Arduino-Sketch ist sehr einfach. Is their any operation which takes time less than nop so we can give delay of 1ns. in the future here i will also read a temperature sensor and show itĭelay(3000) //in the future it will be 5 minutes or more.I've been banging my head against a wall trying to understand timers so I can continue with a project.Īfter scanning google and the forum for 2 days I think its time to ask for help. Let’s take our program and get rid of delay, but we’ll add a for loop. Blocking code is not, however, just when we use the delay () function. None of the code after delay can run until the delay is over, so it’s getting blocked. How do I do this If I use delay() I assume it doesn't work because with this command I cannot do something in parallel. In our program we’ve got the delay function acting as blocking code. millis () is incremented (for 16 MHz AVR chips and some others) every. Even signed long may encounter errors as its maximum value is half that of its unsigned counterpart. Serial.println(knockcount,DEC) // print the number of knocks I want to send a signal for 5 seconds and then stop. The return value for millis () is of type unsigned long, logic errors may occur if a programmer tries to do arithmetic with smaller data types such as int. Serial.print("Knocks: ") // prepare to print the results read the sensor and store it in the variable sensorReading: Serial.begin(9600) // use the serial port PinMode(ledPin, OUTPUT) // declare the ledPin as as OUTPUT send the string "Knock!" back to the computer, followed by newline Unsigned long knockcount=0 // start the knock counter Int ledState = LOW // variable used to store the last LED status, to toggle the light Int sensorReading = 0 // variable to store the value read from the sensor pin these constants won't change:Ĭonst int ledPin = 13 // led connected to digital pin 13Ĭonst int knockSensor = 0 // the piezo is connected to analog pin 0Ĭonst int threshold = 1 // threshold value to decide when the detected sound is a knock or not However, it doesn´t work, because the serial even show knocks=0 and the led don´t change at all. micros () last for 232 micros 4295 seconds 71.5 minutes so just more than one hour. get microseconds, up to a couple of hours, I think. The temperature or any other sensor is not a problem. The Arduino clock isnt very accurate so your timing may be off by minutes a day. I only show the procedure related to knocks. Show the total number of knocks on serialĪnd here is the code that i have right now. Prodecure: for example read the temperature with other sensor If the pin read something higher than the therehold,Īt the end of the period of time, know the number of total knocks Start a period of time (30 seconds, for example) (There are 1000 milliseconds in a second.) Syntax delay(ms) Parameter Values ms: the number of milliseconds to pause. Here is a pseudocode of what i want to do: Description Pauses the program for the amount of time (in milliseconds) specified as parameter. Form example, every five minutes, to measure the number of knocks in 30 seconds as well to know the measurement from other sensor, for example temperature, but in that case just only punctual measurement at the end of the 30 seconds. For alternative approaches to controlling timing see the millis () function and the sketch sited below. My idea is to made a measurement in a period. Thanks also to TeamMCS for your inputs and link. Arduino measures time in millis() and delay() and in milliseconds, so to convert counts of time in seconds to milliseconds would be 1000x. 2/28/2024 0 Comments Luminous day spa austin Anti-Aging Neck & Décolleté Treatment $45 add-on to any facial. Let’s be honest, those three are on the edge of being called veterans and you won’t expect them to nail every game during the latter stages of their careers. The 26-year-old Argentinian player has all the potential to catch up with Casillas (38), Emiliano Viviano (33), and Adán (32). But! He made it to our list of top 11 free transfers as a long-term investment. There are players with a higher rating available to grab on a pre-contract. You wouldn’t call OGC Nice’s Walter Benítez, with eighty points on his profile, the highest-rated keeper on the list. Walter Benítez (GK, OGC Nice) © EA SPORTS So here are top 11 FIFA 20 free transfers you can take advantage of in your first season in the dugout. The real treat is the selection of players: you can expect to see real super-duper football stars there. Got it? There is a small loophole that allows you to grab a player who’s got an expiring contract from January 1st in Career Mode. The second one is the very reason this article appeared. Anyway, there is a pool to choose from and some of these guys are also on our list. We all know that this list is unlikely to let you sign in top-notch players: it includes characters with a rating of 68 or below with the majority proving surplus to requirements for high-rated sides. The first one is to go to the Free Agents list and choose the best of the worst. Even two, in fact ‒ how to get free transfers in FIFA 20’s Career Mode. Winning-material players usually cost a shitton of money and you are as broke as a joke if got hooked by the title. You also need yourself not to suck at FIFA, but it’s not the point of this discussion. If you want to win, you need good players in a team, it’s not rocket science. That’s why 1st of January is the best time for Contract expiry signing. The Contract expiry signing can join your team not earlier than the 1st of January. You’ll just need to negotiate the wage, contract length and the role of the player. Another thing, is that for the Contract Expiry signing you won’t need to pay a transfer fee. While the Free Agent can be instantly signed. For example the Contract Expiry signing can be done only with players who are in their final six months of contract. What’s the difference between a Contract Expiry signing and a Free Agent? Who exactly do you need? Check the full list of free agents below. There you add the filter Free Agents and you are ready to sign one. To buy a free agent in FIFA 2020 is easier than you think. Be sure to check an additional list of players worth signing up in FIFA 2020 Career Mode These concepts define how much effort is put into participating on attack and defense even when they are out of position.6 And as promised, here you also have FIFA 20 Career Mode day-one Free Agents with the highest potential The work rate is defined for attacking (attacking work rate, abbreviated as AWR) and defensive (defensive work rate, abbreviated as DWR), and they are rated between low, medium and high. Player work rate is the rate of a player’s behavior on the pitch in terms of attacking and defensive works. Work Rate – Also known as player work rate. Unfortunately, weak foot development cannot be trained or developed over time. So when his weak foot is rated as 3/5 (3-star), it means his left foot’s shot power and ball control are slightly above the average. For example, if a FIFA player’s preferred foot is right, his weak foot will be left. The higher rate defines the higher shot power and ball control. A player’s attribute rated between 1 to 5, which specifies the shot power and ball control for the other foot of that player versus his preferred foot. Weak Foot – A player’s foot (left or right) that is weaker than their preferred foot. 2/28/2024 0 Comments Comic life for windowsWant to recount your holiday adventures or tell a life-story in an engaging style? Comic Life is the answer. Whether it’s photos of friends or hand drawn comic characters, Comic Life is the ultimate app for turning your images into a comic. It’s a whole new way to make the fun photo-comics you love! The software is easy to use, reliable, does not have any of the defects mentioned for the older versions (mine is 1.4.4) and it reflects the ease that Macintosh brings to daily digital life.Presenting Comic Life 3 for Chromebook, your favorite award winning photo-comic software is now available for Google’s innovative laptop platform. So I combine its use with iWatermark for watermarking and different titles, and with Picasa for collages. It could use more page templates with other shapes. So instead of having hundreds of pictures (which I do) I have to select the best, think about the composition and the messages, and then play around a bit until I have the finished product. I usually have a one to two page "comic" which depicts the story, eg my grandson giving me a violin concert, my so-called diet whilst in Florence, my motorcycle trips to Bruges, Gant, Venice, Milan, the Alps, the wine vendimia in Champagne, thru Andalucia, etc. I have been using Comic for the last year or two and find it excellent for my purpose which is to tell a "story" with the pictures of my travels around Europe and with the outings with my kids and/or grandchildren. For, say, black floating text with a white outside border, this has the effect of making the text itself look really spindly if the border is thicker. It's in there, but hard to find things if you don't know where they are, and they aren't always clearly labeled with what they do.Īlso, it's a shame there's no "outline" feature to SFX text-if you add a border to text, the border ends up centered on the text outline, with no option to give it an external "halo". My only other complaints are that accessing the advanced text features is cumbersome, since most of it is buried in tiny tabs in a small floating properties window, and it's organized the way I'd expect. Functional, but clumsy, so I usually end up adding balloons in Manga Studio. The only disadvantage to using it in this completely non-standard way: If you're not using ComicLife to do the panels themselves, clipping SFX or dialogue balloons to the edge of panels is awkward-it requires adding an invisible, borderless panel overlaying the one in the image and putting the text inside it. Works just as well in greyscale as color, too. The sound effect lettering tools are also great-you can stretch, bend, tweak, and outline fully-editable text to your heart's content.įor my use, if I set up page sizes correctly, import full-page images, and set them to "actual size", I can then add lettering on top and export a 1:1 pixel-accurate PDF of each page with correctly anti-aliased text added. It supports advanced OpenType text features (auto ligatures, etc), is extremely fast and smooth-feeling, and tweaking the size of a balloon-shaped dialogue box is fast and easy. Unfortunately, the English-language lettering tools in that software are a disaster (no kerning or ligatures at all, awkward, etc), so I need something else for lettering, and Comic Life is exactly the tool I need for that. In my case, I have an artist that works in Manga Studio (Clip Studio Pro). While this app is clearly designed for casual consumer use, it's actually a fully functional professional tool as well. Its priced modestly & is sure worth the price. Perhaps their new drawing app will address that part of the equation more robustly. If you have to draw the panels in relative context - you are doing it elsewhere already. For that it would be a little awkward production tool, though I have used it similarly. The script page addition in version 3 was a nice touch.Ĭreating actual comic strips or graphic novels with it is quite possible, but not ideal.Ĭonsistent line weights from frame-to-frame could become a problem, if you used this to generate an “approaching professional” level comic. The multiple panel templates & type of “flyer” pages is really very nice as a starting point to generate “how-to’s” & gag flyers. I’d recommend Comic Life, if that means anything to anybody. You CAN storyboard effectively with it, even if you aren’t a killer artist.ĪND they are about to release some type of draw application soon, too. Pretty cool for single panels & smart cracks attached to photos. House to represent New York’s 3 rd Congressional District”. Then recheck your settings and try again. A new one will be created when you restart iPhoto. Export your slideshow to QuickTime, not iDVD, direct it to your Movie folder then play it and if everything is synchronized burn it with iDVD or Toast.ĭon't forget that if all else fails quit iPhoto and go to your .ist and delete it. I guess it depends on how they were recorded.ĭo this before you burn your slideshow onto a DVD. I noticed that sometimes there is as much as 9 seconds of dead space on some songs. If you want it back the way it was, just re-enter the old Stop Time or just delete the new time. Nothing is deleted when you crop a song, the playback time is just shortened. Use the import button, don't just drag the song to your library. The closer you get to the end of the last note the better but don't clip it off.Ħ) Now in order to get iPhoto to use that time for your synchronized slideshow, it isn't enough to use that cropped song in a playlist because iPhoto still plays the uncropped version that was too long.ħ) Burn your cropped song to a CD and then import it back from that CD and it will be exactly the right length to fit to your slideshow without any extra slides or ken burns movement at the end. Since the Stop Time field can be very exact, you can keep fine tuning to the thousandth of a second to get it exactly right, if you need that much precision, and it's simple to do. Note the time that the music stopped and enter that in the previous window in the Stop Time field. Play the song and watch the timer at the left of the progress bar, and you will usually see that the music stops but the timer continues for a little while. Otherwise just leave it unchecked.ĥ) Stop Time is the time the recording actually stops. Choose "Options".Ĥ) Start Time is probably OK unless there is something at the start you want to remove. Just highlight it.Ģ) Go to the File Menu at the top, and under that choose "Get Info".ģ) This brings up an interesting window. It matches the slides to the whole "song" so you have "extra" slides at the end of your show.ġ) Go back to iTunes and select the song you want to use. You need to crop your song to remove dead space at the end, which iPhoto reads as music. 2/28/2024 0 Comments Zen den yoga retreatRapid fix came about just after World War II when ammonium thiosulfate became commercially available as a 60% solution. Such a solution dissolves silver salts while leaving the metallic silver image alone (for the emersion times we use). Sodium thiosulfate has been in use since 1837. From the inception of photography, the search was on as to how to render the silver image permanent. Since developed grains have a lot of sharp edges and surface area, maybe theyĪlso dissolve glen_h The two fixers we use are sodium thiosulfate, nickname "hypo" and ammonium thiosulfate, nickname "rapid fix" because it works twice as fast. I was thinking that the colloidal particles were smaller, and dissolve faster. If I run across a roll like this in the future I'll probably stick with C-41. The positional dependence might have something to do with the flash and uneven lighting fooling the software. If I had more post-processing skills and better tools I might try what you suggest about the color correction. They're not worth a huge amount of effort. )Īnyway, I process these for practice and to try different things. I'm going to try to let them know that I have a couple of pictures but my wife can't remember their name a the moment. This roll was out of one of a bunch of cameras that came from a very loose acquaintance of my wife's. If they're really interested in getting them processed I'll mention film rescue. I'm hesitant to volunteer that I might attempt to process it because I don't want to feel obligated to nor do I want to create any expectations in case I screw it up. If the person I bought the camera from is likely to be connected somehow to the person that took the pictures I'll ask them if they want the roll back or not. Once in a while an old camera will end up in my possession with a roll of film still in it. In this case the roll had been sitting in my fridge for 18 months and my current batch of C-41 was old enough that I didn't want to use it on anything important to me, so in this went. I wasn't consciously thinking about the cost aspect of it, that makes sense. If you can do a x-axis dependent color correction, it might come out better. In the color image, it looks like a position dependent color shift. The slower speed of Kodacolor II gave you a better chance, too. That way, you get two chances, but probably only worth doing Then bleach the developed silver back to silver halide, andĭevelop with C41 chemistry. First, you develop as black and white,Īnd get what you can from it. There is actually a Kodak recommended way to do this. Since none of the pictures were mine, and at ISO 1000, in addition to unknown storage I did it on a roll of Gold 1000 that came in a used camera that I bought. If the results are quesitonable that it isn't worth the cost of C41, then black and white is a good choice. They adjusts contrast as they bolster the cyan dye image. These residual tints are actually two positive “corrective” images superimposed on the three negative dye images. Cyan is difficult to get “right” thus it needs some assistance. Their purpose is to bolster the cyan dye contained in the red-sensitive layer. The Hanson Orange Mask consists of residual magenta and yellow dye couplers. Its persistence adds a uniform density that makes these negative difficult to scan or print (not impossible).ĭo not confuse the Carey-Lee filter with the Orange Mask typical of color negatives. Should the film be developed in a customary black & white process, the Carey-Lee filters remain. Thus all traces of the Carey-Lee filter are removed. The halogenated silver is thus made soluble in the fix. When C-41 film is developed per standard, the bleach step chelates (combines silver with a halogen). Thus the more energetic blue light is checked. The particle size is such that blue light photons collide and are absorbed, while red and green photons pass with ease. Colloidal silver is super fine silver particles in suspension. This layer consists of a clear gelatin binder holding colloidal silver. To prevent blue light interaction, a Carey-Lee filter layer is fabricated just below the blue sensitive emulsion. Should blue light reach them, crosstalk occurs. However, they never lose their sensitivity to blue. These emulsions have been treated to force them to become sensitive to colors other than violet and blue. Its purpose is to preclude blue light energy from reaching the underlying green and red sensitive emulsions. This is because negative color films have a yellow filter layer just beneath the top blue-sensitive emulsion. C-41 films can be cross processed in black & white chemicals, however the results will likely be substandard. |
